sue scott

founder, director & teacher

Sue Scott has extensive knowledge of the body gained from her background in classical & modern dance in Australia and Europe that informs her practice at a deep level. Following a spinal injury, Sue returned to Melbourne and was introduced to the healing qualities of Iyengar Yoga. Sue then trained with Peter Scott & began teaching yoga in 1992 at Rathdowne Yoga Room. After further study in Pune, India in 1994 & 1995 Sue became a fully qualified Junior Intermediate level 2 Iyengar Yoga teacher in 1999.

Sue’s interest is to promote a deeper understanding of how to support & nurture a wholistic yoga practice while challenging our ideas of strength and force, dedication and desire. Sue’s teaching style is welcoming & encouraging to all.
